With 2017 just released, it's a good time to review the trends that in design and decoration will accompany us throughout the year. Houzz has made a forecast of the ideas that are most likely to be present in Spanish homes in 2017 based on the data he has on how we are designing and reforming our homes.

  • We start for example with metals and in particular with the copper which will have great prominence in decorative accessories. A trend that has already begun and will continue this year without a doubt.

  • The opening and connection of spaces, especially the dining room and kitchen, implies giving visibility to a vital element in the decoration: lamp. In this sense, it is committed to the mix of sizes and materials.

  • He also gains prominence cable, which becomes a decorative element in itself in the broadest sense of the word.

  • Bet on incorporating indirect light and warm also gains prominence. In the kitchen, for example, the illuminated furniture inside gain followers.

  • Choosing the greenery green As a color of the year 2017, Pantone invites us to use a fresh, relaxing, cheerful and easy to complement color with other shades. The green Greenery marks a trend towards more luminous and youthful spaces and in addition, we will find winks to yellows, oranges and fuchsia.

  • In 2017 also the range of Gray will continue to be seen, from the palest to the darkest tones. It is a perfect color to use in environments of different decorative styles.

  • Following the trend vintage, in the bedroom will have more and more prominence the headboards of chester type, padded with buttons and upholstered in leather or fabrics of warm colors, leaving behind the minimalist style or classic black and white duo.

  • The trend towards vintage style also implies a certain inclination to the use of metals, above all, copper, bronze and steel. As for the floors, the preference is the use of mud. Eye also to the contrast of materials or white tone with wood.

  • The fashion of open kitchens It is an unstoppable reality. The closed and isolated space of the rest of the house is over. The kitchen is a social environment whose incorporation to the rest of the spaces of the house is definitive and responds to nothing more than a contemporary lifestyle in which everything is shared more.

  • Design a space at home dedicated to the tasks of washed and clothing organization is among the priorities of individuals.

  • Doors glass and steel They are the ideal resource to compartmentalize spaces without losing brightness. It will be increasingly common to find them in different spaces of the house beyond their use as screens in the bathroom.

  • Stamping floral the tropical and floral type vegetable motifs sneak into the decoration, although without neglecting the animals.

  • The trend towards the incorporation of forms continues geometric, both in furniture, as in luminaires and furniture, to create environments or compositions in retro-pop style.

Many of these trends had already begun in 2016 but it is expected that in this new year they will be extended and generalized in more homes, although for some of them we may have to wait more than a year ...
