Celebrity houses: Lenny Kravitz (I)

In the section of Celebrity Houses we see mostly houses of actors, so from time to time we like to enjoy the houses of singers and athletes. Today for example, I bring you the mansion of Lenny Kravitz in Miami. On this occasion, I must confess that I like the style a lot and it shows that there is something about him in his home. I have divided the house into two parts for the post; First we will see the most “public” areas and in the next post we will see the most private of the musician's home.

The decoration has been carried out by the company BNO Design following the indications of the singer, who has chosen to mix several styles, textures and colors to achieve a unique and cozy space. Again we are facing a mansion of the style that Americans call Spanish (at least outside) but that has nothing to do with our country.

We begin the visit through one of the singer's classrooms. Here we are going to see the leit motif that is going to be repeated in almost the whole house, which is that white and hairy carpet that you have on the ground. The truth is that it doesn't make much sense to have a carpet in Miami where it's usually not very cold. In addition, we see another of the constants in the decoration of Kravitz which is the White color. I would tell you to pay attention especially to the great sound equipment that is under the television and on the sides. You can tell he cares a lot, right?

On these lines, you have the outdoor dining room of the singer that seems beautiful to me. The table is old and looks tough and makes a beautiful contrast with the modern Panton chairs and with the ceiling lamps (which by the way is also very elegant). This gazebo is well protected both by the roof and the curtains that can isolate it from the patio if for some reason it starts to rain or the guests want some privacy.

At indoor dining roomOn the other hand, we have a round table where nobody presides and lends itself to dialogue. The chairs are transparent and also combine with the toughest table. The minimalist decoration is predominant (observe the sconces that go practically unnoticed) and any decorative element has been dispensed with, except for the ceiling lamp that looks like a large gift bow and the two fangs of the window sill.

Here we have one of the parts of the house that I like the most, which is the part dedicated to the games and the bar. Kravitz has installed in this area the same white carpet that we saw in the main hall and hung all kinds of African masks on the walls. In this part of the house you have the pool table (white, not to clash), a bar and a corner where to play chess. Notice how the chairs are all modern in design and in general the decoration is quite light.

We finish today our visit with another of the rooms that my partner Minu sure loves because it is white and minimalist more can not. Once again there is the white carpet on the floor and all the furniture is the same color. I like lamps that have quite original fringe screens but I would not put them in a house with a cat because surely the pussy would spend the dead hours giving the fringes. See how the singer has mixed several materials in the furniture from the leather of the sofas to the wicker of the chairs but maintaining a uniformity through color.

I encourage you to keep an eye to the gallery because the house does not lack detail. Of course, stay tuned to your screens because soon we will bring you the second part.
